Elle Singapore – March 2023 Feature

While there is still much to be done to achieve gender equity, there are many available resources and opportunities in Singapore that can help girls and women grow and thrive.

In this International Womens Day story by ELLE Magazine Singapore, our CEO Simran Toor shared that a lack of available community resources and space for victims of online harms saw the launch of SHECARES@SCWO – a one-stop centre. Run in partnership with Singapore Council Of Women's Organisations and other partners, the centre provides a safe space, counselling, and pro bono legal help for victims and survivors. The centre also focuses on helping girls and women who have experienced gender based online harms: she.org.sg/support-centre.

We’d also like to acknowledge the great work by Casa Raudha Ltd for providing support for victim/survivors of domestic violence, Daughters Of Tomorrow (DOT) for empowering underprivileged women with sustained livelihood opportunities, Mums@Work (Singapore) for helping mothers find work-family balance, and podcast host and owner Nicola Watson and human connection specialist Simone Heng - Human Connection Speaker for driving the conversation on personal growth.
